Hotelier Weekly Roundup: 23/05/25
Another exciting week in Australian vibrant and dynamic hotel industry!

What’s on my mind this week: I was revisiting the networking practices of Silicon Valley entrepreneur and venture capitalist Heidi Roizen that was featured in Harvard Business School case study 25 years ago. I’m a big avocad that hoteliers should expand their network to outside of the industry as well to create more meaningful connection, and opportunities to explore businesses opportunities. Heidi Roizen followed three key networking principles: 1) the proximity principle of building connections through her existing network, 2) the self-similarity principle of connecting with like-minded individuals, and 3) the shared-activity principle of mutually beneficial associations.
